Latin America Sales Engineer

Summary: Work closely with channel partners and end users to help promote and grow Transition Networks business in Latin America. Educate and train distributors and end-users on Transition Networks and products. Prospect new end users and resellers, referring them to channel partners. Travel throughout territory meeting with resellers, system integrators and end users to present Transition Networks solutions and solve technical issues. Attend local trade shows when necessary.

Job Duties:

  • Create and conduct technical presentations and perform product demonstrations on how Transition products meet client needs
  • Offer pre and post sales technical support to channel partners and end users
  • Perform product training for our channel partners and end users
  • Liaise with other members of the sales and engineering departments to solve client technical problems
  • Communicate market needs with product management and engineering departments in the design of new products and custom-made products and software
  • Provide training and supporting material for other members of the sales team
  • Offer support to manage tender preparations including: Pricing quotations, competitive analysis, product demonstrations, customer visits
  • Manage pricing quotations to Distributors in coordination with Transition HQ
  • Utilize internal Customer Relationship Management software (SLX) to track activities including: quotations, telephone calls and meeting schedule
  • Report back to Transition HQ on status of large projects and revenue forecast
  • Facilitate communication between Transition and distribution channel
  • Attend trade shows with our channel partners to present Transition Networks and our product solutions to existing and new customers
  • Prepare a weekly activity report for Transition management on accomplishments, meetings conducted, customers visited, status of open technical issues, projects and quotations
  • Attain monthly sales goals and grow revenue in territory
  • Conduct new business development telephone calls targeting resellers, system integrators, telecom operators, ISP’s and large enterprise end-users to sell Transition Networks products

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Business or Technical degree, 3-5 years sales engineer experience.
  • Excellent technical experience in networking hardware, structured cabling, fiber optics or telecommunications.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Must be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
  • Needs to have extensive contact database to present Transition products.
  • Previous experience working with USA companies helpful.
