Enterprise Grade Switches
Ethernet is the dominant networking technology for enterprises today and Ethernet switches are the backbone of these networks. These enterprise networks are designed to provide connectivity to all users and resources over the fastest possible path. The standard large enterprise network design includes users or servers connected to access switches, which are connected to distribution switches that are, in turn, connected to core switches. Smaller networks may not need a distribution layer of switches, whereas branch office networks can be built using a single Layer 2 access switch. All of these network designs provide a very low latency end-to-end data path.
Enterprise Ethernet switches provide Layer 2 networking for Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet networks. Access switches are available that support Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for connecting IP phones, wireless access points and other powered devices. Fiber-optic backbone or user connections are also an important requirement and the use of SFP ports provides the ultimate flexibility by supporting a wide range of fiber cables and connectors. Network administrators can choose from managed or unmanaged network switches depending on the network size and how mission critical it is to the company.
Transition Networks’ Enterprise Switches provide the ideal Layer 2 networking for any size of enterprise network. Our switches are available in low-density and high-density port counts to best fit the network’s needs. Management of our switches is also available to provide insight into your network, saving time and money. Lastly, our switches are available with PoE Plus (PoE+) to provide power to the edge of the network. View our Enterprise Switches below.
I have been specifically using Transition Networks’ products on my engineering products for over 10 years. I have always been pleased with their products, their support, and their willingness to listen to requests for new product development.
