This line of Transition Networks switches are actually really important to a camera system I have been deploying. It’s common that the cameras need to be replaced due to failure or damage. By utilizing the per-port DHCP option, I can have maintenance replace the cameras without the need to address them. As long as they plug it into the same port as the previous camera, the same IP will be given by the switch. Great feature!
